Abstract

El estudio tuvo por objetivo determinar la concentración de etanol y parámetros de calidad del alcohol-gel según marcas comerciales que se expenden en Chiclayo durante el periodo de octubre a noviembre del 2020. La investigación fue de tipo cuantitativo con diseño no experimental. Se determinó la concentración del etanol mediante espectrofotometría UV-VIS empleando el método de Sheftel modificado y en los parámetros de calidad del alcohol-gel, los resultados muestran que el 77.3% presenta un porcentaje de etanol inferior al 70%v/v y el 18.2% se encuentra entre 70%v/v a 80%v/v, también presentaron viscosidad media (40.9%) y baja (54,5%), el 5.5% presentó aspecto homogéneo, el pH fluctuó entre 7.37 + 0.251 y la densidad entre 0.85 + 0.025, el 40.9%, el 77.27% presentaron NSO y el 13.64% RS, concluyendo que las muestras de alcohol en gel recomendadas para la prevención del COVID son aquellas que presentan RSThe objective of the study was to determine the ethanol concentration and quality parameters of alcohol-gel according to commercial brands sold in Chiclayo during the period from October to November 2020.
