Abstract
El objetivo es determinar la utilización de antibióticos en población pediátrica con patología respiratoria en el Hospital Regional Docente Materno Infantil El Carmen. Como método corresponde a un estudio, descriptivo, retrospectivo y transversal, conformado por 40 casos clínicos, como muestra intencionada y muestreo no probabilístico. El resultado predomina en la población pediátrica para enfermedades respiratorias la utilización de antibióticos, presentado en niños entre las edades de 4 a 6 años, de sexo femenino, con diagnóstico de neumonía, y no sufren comorbilidad. En conclusión, se confirma que la totalidad utiliza antibióticos, siendo la cefalosporina de tercera generación el medicamento más empleado.
The objective is to determine the use of antibiotics in the pediatric population with respiratory pathology at the Hospital Regional Docente Materno Infantil El Carmen. As method, it corresponds to a descriptive, retrospective and transversal study, conformed by 40 clinical cases, as an intentional sample and non-probabilistic sampling. The results showed a predominant use of antibiotics in the pediatric population for respiratory diseases, presented in children between the ages of 4 and 6 years, female, diagnosed with pneumonia, and not suffering from comorbidity. In conclusion, it is confirmed that all of them use antibiotics, being the third generation cephalosporin the most used medicine.
