Grado de gingivitis en mujeres gestantes atendidas en el Centro de Salud San Martín, El Tambo, Huancayo 2024–2025

Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el grado de gingivitis en mujeres gestantes atendidas en el Centro de Salud San Martín, El Tambo, Huancayo, 2024-2025. La metodología siguió una investigación básica de nivel descriptivo con diseño no experimental transversal. La población y muestra estuvo conformada por 60 gestantes seleccionadas mediante muestreo censal. La técnica empleada fue la observación documental mediante revisión de historias clínicas, utilizando como instrumento una ficha de recolección de datos validada por juicio de expertos. Los resultados evidenciaron que el 56.7% de las gestantes presentó gingivitis moderada, 30.0% gingivitis leve y 13.3% gingivitis severa. Se concluyó que las gestantes atendidas presentan predominantemente gingivitis de grado moderado, evidenciando que se requiere una atención odontológica oportuna durante el período gestacional.

The objective of this study was to determine the degree of gingivitis in pregnant women receiving care at the San Martín Health Center in El Tambo, Huancayo, during the 2024–2025 period. The methodology employed a basic research approach at a descriptive level, utilizing a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The study population and sample consisted of 60 pregnant women selected via census sampling. The technique employed was documentary observation through the review of clinical records, utilizing a data collection form validated by expert judgment as the primary instrument. The results revealed that 56.7% of the pregnant women presented with moderate gingivitis, 30.0% with mild gingivitis, and 13.3% with severe gingivitis. It was concluded that the pregnant women receiving care predominantly exhibit moderate-grade gingivitis, thereby underscoring the need for timely dental care during the gestational period.
