Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitudes regarding pharmacovigilance among pharmaceutical chemists from the Pharmaceutical Chemists' College of Junín (Huancayo, 2026). The research was basic in nature, employing a quantitative approach, a relational level, and a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 1,600 registered and licensed pharmaceutical chemists, and the sample comprised 311 professionals selected via non-probability convenience sampling. Data collection involved an 11-item dichotomous questionnaire, validated through expert judgment. The results showed that 90.4% of the participants demonstrated a good level of knowledge and 9.6% a fair level, with no cases of a poor level. Additionally, 93.6% displayed a positive attitude and 6.4% a negative attitude toward pharmacovigilance. Fisher's exact test revealed a statistically significant relationship between knowledge and attitude (p=0.001), with a low association according to Cramer's V (0.225). It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitudes of pharmaceutical chemists regarding pharmacovigilance.
