Abstract
El objetivo de la investigación fue estimar la relación entre edad cronológica y edad dentaria mediante el método Cameriere en una clínica odontológica universitaria de Huancayo en el año 2024. El tipo fue descriptivo con un diseño transversal no experimental. La muestra se constituyó 400 radiografías panorámicas de pacientes atendidos en la clínica estomatológica de la Universidad Privada de Huancayo Franklin Roosevelt en el Periodo 2023 – 2024. Los resultados muestran que, la diferencia promedio de -0.45 años, acompañada de desviaciones estándar similares para ambas edades (1.20 para EC y 1.15 para ED). Concluyendo que, la edad dentaria (ED) calculada mediante el método Cameriere tiende a ser ligeramente menor que la edad cronológica (EC).
The objective of the research was to estimate the relationship between chronological age and dental age using the Cameriere method at a university dental clinic in Huancayo in 2024. The study was descriptive with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 400 panoramic radiographs of patients treated at the dental clinic of the Franklin Roosevelt Private University of Huancayo in the period 2023–2024. The results show that the average difference is -0.45 years, accompanied by similar standard deviations for both ages (1.20 for CA and 1.15 for DA). In conclusion, dental age (DA) calculated using the Cameriere method tends to be slightly lower than chronological age (CA).
