Abstract
El trabajo descrito tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto antibacteriano del extracto hidroalcohólico del Vaccinium corymbosum L. (arándano), in vitro, en cepas de Streptococcus pyogenes; Metodología, siendo la investigación de tipo experimental, realizando ensayos de solubilidad, tamizaje Fitoquímico y antibacteriano. Resultados, se evidenció halos de inhibición de 9.67 ± 0.3, 7.6 ± 0.28 y 19.64 ± 0.81 mm de los extractos al 100 y 50 mg/mL y gentamicina respectivamente; concluyéndose, que el extracto hidroalcohólico del Vaccinium corymbosum L. presenta compuestos fenólicos, flavonoides y antocianinas. La concentración a 100 y 50 mg/mL del extracto hidroalcohólico presenta efecto antibacteriano, in vitro, en cepas de Streptococcus pyogenes
