Abstract

The method used was a basic, non-experimental, cross-sectional design; the sample consisted of 63 students. The results show a bilateral significance level of 0.000, which is lower than the established limit (p < 0.05), indicating that the pretest and posttest measures are significantly different and, on the other hand, knowledge about secondary prevention increased significantly with a bilateral significance level of 0.000, which is lower than the established limit (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the effectiveness of the “Nomáscáncer” program on the knowledge of breast cancer prevention was determined, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted.
