Abstract
El propósito de la presente investigación fue determinar la relación entre la Disfunción temporomandibular mediante el Índice de Helkimo (Modificado por Maglione) y el nivel de stress según el Índice Percibido en pacientes atendidos en el Centro Odontológico Sonrisas UP, 2020. El tipo de investigación fue correlacional, descriptivo y trasversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 68 pacientes. Los resultados mostraron los pacientes que casi nunca o nunca presentaron stress el 57.1% no presentaron trastornos temporomandibulares y del total de pacientes con muy a menudo están estresados el 73.3% presentaron disfunción severa. Conclusión: Se encontró relación estadística entre Disfunción temporomandibular y el nivel de stress en pacientes atendidos en el centro odontológico Sonrisas UP, 2020
The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between temporomandibular dysfunction using the Helkimo Index (modified by Maglione) and the level of stress according to the Perceived Index in patients seen at the Sonrisas UP Dental Center, 2020. The type of research was correlational, descriptive and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 68 patients. The results showed that 57.1% of the patients who almost never or never presented stress did not present temporomandibular disorders and of the total number of patients who are very often stressed 73.3% presented severe dysfunction.
