Abstract
La automedicación se refiere al uso de productos medicinales para tratar
desórdenes o síntomas que el paciente reconoce, o es el uso intermitente o
continuado de una medicación prescrita por el médico para enfermedades o
síntomas recurrentes o crónicos.
El objetivo de la presente investigación es determinar los factores
relacionados a la automedicación en los estudiantes de Ciencias Administrativas
y Negocios Internacionales de la Universidad Privada de Huancayo “Franklin
Roosevelt”. Asimismo, se utilizó el método científico, cuyo tipo de investigación
es básico y el nivel de investigación es descriptivo.
Como resultado de la investigación realizada se ha obtenido la siguiente
información: El 66% de estudiantes si se automedican y el 34% no lo hacen; el
67% de estudiantes que se automedican son del sexo femenino y el 33% son del
sexo masculino; el 29% de estudiantes habitualmente se automedican, el 66%
lo hace raras veces y el 11% nunca se automedica; el 61% de estudiantes
respondió que se automedican debido a que no tienen tiempo para ir al médico;
el 94% de estudiantes que se automedican son de nivel socioeconómico medio;
el 61% de estudiantes que se automedican lo hacen para tratar el resfrío común;
el 86% de estudiantes respondieron que la televisión influyó en su persona para
automedicarse y el 34% de estudiantes respondieron que el medicamentos que
toman mayormente sin prescripción médica son los antibióticos.
