Abstract
The objective of the following research was to determine the relationship between therapeutic adherence and family support in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis at a private healthcare facility (IPRESS) in Huancayo during 2024. Methodology: A basic research study utilizing a non-experimental, cross-sectional design was conducted. The study population consisted of 45 patients receiving hemodialysis treatment, and a census sampling method was employed. Results: Therapeutic adherence was found to be "fair" and "low," with 44.4% (20 patients) falling into each category. Regarding family support, it was rated as "low" in 40% (18 patients) of cases. Upon testing the relationship between the two variables using Spearman's correlation test, a Rho coefficient of 0.481 with a p-value of 0.001 was observed. In conclusion, it was determined that there is a moderate, positive, and significant correlation between therapeutic adherence and family support (Rho = 0.481; p < 0.05).
