Abstract
Este estudio fue determinar la concentración de aceite esencial de Rosmarinus officinalis L (romero) con actividad antimicrobiana y efecto desinfectante sobre los vegetales de consumo directo, siendo la Metodología: analítico, longitudinal, prospectivo y experimental. Resultados: Sobre la actividad antimicrobiana frente a Escherichia coli fueron de 10,0, 9,0, 9,0, 8,0, 7,0 y 0 mm, para Staphylococcus aureus no presentó. El aceite preparado como desinfectante al 40% dio como resultado 20 UFC/g para Escherichia coli, <10 UFC/g para coliformes totales. Conclusión: El aceite esencial de Rosmarinus officinalis L (romero) presenta actividad antimicrobiana y efecto desinfectante sobre los vegetales de consumo directo debido a que reducen la carga microbiana
