Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar relación entre el edentulismo parcial y total y la calidad de vida en adultos mayores, en la Comunidad San José Bajo-Cajamarca. El estudio fue de tipo cuantitativo, correlacional, transversal y prospectivo. La muestra probabilística por conveniencia estuvo conformada por 128 adultos mayores. Los resultados muestran que el 52.3% presentó la condición de edéntulo parcial y el 47.7% fue edéntulo total. Según el sexo, se identificó que los varones 39.1% presentaron edentulismo parcial y el 34.4% fue edéntulo total y fueron mujeres. En conclusión, existe relación entre el edentulismo parcial y total y la calidad de vida en adultos mayores en la comunidad San José Bajo-Cajamarca 2023.
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between partial and total edentulism and quality of life in older adults in the San José Bajo-Cajamarca community. The study was quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional and prospective. The probabilistic sample by convenience consisted of 128 older adults. The results show that 52.3% were partially edentulous and 47.7% were totally edentulous.
