Abstract
La investigación es de tipo básico; Metodología, descriptivo, el diseño no experimental y transversal. La población fue de 394 adultos mayores y la muestra fue de 195 adultos. Resultados: se puede apreciar las edades del encuestado el 28,2 % (55) pertenecen a los mayores de 85 años. Por otro lado, el grado de instrucción es secundaria y cuenta con el seguro SIS, el ingreso económico de 841 - 1000 soles, el estado civil conviviente. Las razones a consumir a los IBP fueron las Nauseas/vómitos, los encuestado adquieren sus medicamentos en una Farmacia /Botica. En cuanto a las reacciones adversas en el tipo A se dieron con bochornos, Diarrea, Boca seca, mareos. Las reacciones del tipo B encontrando Síndromes autoinmunes, Erupciones Cutáneas (rash), Vasculitis y Lesión orgánica inflamatoria. Los antiulceroso que más consumen se encontró Omeprazol 49,2 %.

The reasons for taking PPIs were nausea/vomiting, and the respondents purchased their medicines in a pharmacy/Botica. As for adverse reactions in type A were hot flashes, diarrhea, dry mouth, dizziness. Type B reactions were autoimmune syndromes, skin rashes, vasculitis and inflammatory organic lesions. Omeprazole 49.2% was found to be the most consumed antiulcer drug.
