Nivel de conocimiento de soluciones irrigantes y sistemas de irrigación en endodoncia en estudiantes de una Universidad Privada Huancayo – 2025.

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer cuánto saben los estudiantes de 6to y 7mo semestre de la Escuela Profesional de Estomatología de la UPHFR sobre el uso de soluciones irrigadoras y sistemas de irrigación en endodoncia. El estudio fue cuantitativo y se realizó de manera no experimental. Fue descriptivo, prospectivo y transversal. La muestra fueron 74 estudiantes de sexto y séptimo semestre. El nivel de conocimiento sobre el uso de soluciones irrigadoras y sistemas de irrigación en endodoncia fue malo, con un 50%, al observar los semestres académicos, en el sexto semestre, el 47,2% de los estudiantes tuvo un buen nivel de conocimiento, mientras que, en el séptimo semestre, el 68,4% mostró un nivel malo de conocimiento. El irrigante que se usa con mayor frecuencia es el hipoclorito de sodio con un 93.2% y el sistema de activación más utilizado es el sistema de activación manual con un 67.6%.

The objective of this research was to determine how much sixth- and seventh-semester students at the UPHFR School of Dentistry know about the use of irrigating solutions and irrigation systems in endodontics. The study was quantitative and non-experimental. It was descriptive, prospective, and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 74 sixth- and seventh-semester students. The level of knowledge about the use of irrigating solutions and irrigation systems in endodontics was poor, with 50%. When looking at the academic semesters, in the sixth semester, 47.2% of students had a good level of knowledge, while in the seventh semester, 68.4% showed a poor level of knowledge. The most frequently used irrigant is sodium hypochlorite, with 93.2%, and the most commonly used activation system is the manual activation system, with 67.6%.
