Abstract
The study aimed to determine the relationship between pharmaceutical care and the prevention of medication-related problems among users of a pharmacy in Callao. It employed a quantitative approach, basic research type, and a non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design, using a sample of 60 users and a Likert-type questionnaire. The results showed that 61.7% of participants experienced a good level of pharmaceutical care, while 75.0% demonstrated a good level of prevention regarding medication-related problems. A positive, very strong, and significant relationship was found between the two variables (r = 0.927; p < 0.001), leading to the conclusion that adequate pharmaceutical care fosters the prevention of such problems and promotes the safe use of medications.
