Nivel de conocimiento sobre hábitos de higiene oral en estudiantes del 5° secundaria Colegio 1204 Villa Jardín, Lima 2025.

Abstract

El objetivo general de esta investigación fue determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre los hábitos de higiene oral en estudiantes de 5to grado del Colegio Nacional Villa Jardín N° 1204, Lima - Perú, durante 2025. El estudio fue cuantitativo, con un diseño simple descriptivo y transversal. La muestra consistió en 80 estudiantes seleccionados por muestreo de conveniencia no probabilístico. Se utilizó un cuestionario estructurado para reunir datos que evaluaron cinco dimensiones: elementos de higiene bucal, frecuencia y técnica de cepillado, visitas al dentista y análisis por edad y sexo. Los resultados mostraron que el 48,8% de los alumnos tenían un nivel regular de conocimientos, el 35,0% un nivel bueno y el 16,2% un nivel malo.

The overall objective of this research was to determine the level of knowledge about oral hygiene habits among 5th grade students at Colegio Nacional Villa Jardín No. 1204, Lima, Peru, in 2025. The study was quantitative, with a simple descriptive and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 80 students selected by non-probabilistic convenience sampling. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data that evaluated five dimensions: oral hygiene elements, brushing frequency and technique, visits to the dentist, and analysis by age and sex. The results showed that 48.8% of the students had a fair level of knowledge, 35.0% had a good level, and 16.2% had a poor level.
