Abstract
El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento y adherencia terapéutica en pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 en el Hospital de la Solidaridad, Lima – 2024. Se empleó un diseño observacional, no experimental y de corte transversal, con una muestra de 136 pacientes. Los resultados mostraron que el 33.8 % tenía entre 30 y 39 años, el 55.15 % eran mujeres y el 47.8 % tenía educación secundaria. Solo el 37.71 % presentó un conocimiento óptimo sobre la enfermedad, mientras que el 72.0 % mostró adherencia terapéutica. Se concluye que el nivel de conocimiento es bajo, la adherencia terapéutica es alta y la diabetes afecta mayormente a mujeres jóvenes con secundaria completa.
