Abstract
Objetivo: Evaluar el efecto antifúngico de una crema elaborada a base de aceite esencial de Origanum vulgare “orégano” sobre Candida albicans. Método: Cuantitativo, transversal de diseño experimental, la población de estudio fue Origanum vulgare L., se obtuvo aceite esencial por medio de arrastre con vapor y cremas al 10% y 20%, se empleó la técnica de Kirby Bauer Resultados: La crema al 10% frente a Candida albicans obtuvo halo de 12,98 + 0,30mm, al 20% de 16,93 + 0,36mm, el control negativo de 6,03 + 0,33mm, control positivo de 22,93 + 0,34mm, se determinaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en los grupos de trabajo. Conclusión: Las cremas elaboradas a base de aceite esencial de Origanum
