Abstract
El estudio fue el efecto antibacteriano el extracto etanólico de Piper aduncum “matico” y Thymus vulgaris "tomillo" sobre Staphylococcus aureus. La Metodología fue de tipo cuantitativo, transversal con diseño experimental; la población estuvo conformada por Piper aduncum "matico" y Thymus vulgaris "tomillo" y como muestra microbiológica se consideró al Staphylococcus aureus, Los Resultados demostraron que el extracto etanólico de matico al 50% y 100% fue de 20,53mm y 22,66mm respectivamente, por otro lado, el extracto etanólico de tomillo al 50% y 100% tuvo halos de inhibición promedio de 21,39mm y 25,33mm.Se concluye que los extractos etanólicos de ambas plantas presentan efecto antibacteriano sobre Staphylococcus aureus
The study was the antibacterial effect of the ethanolic extract of Piper aduncum "matico" and Thymus vulgaris "thyme" on Staphylococcus aureus. The methodology was quantitative, cross-sectional with experimental design; the population consisted of Piper aduncum "matico" and Thymus vulgaris "thyme" and Staphylococcus aureus was considered as microbiological sample.
