Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la prevalencia de cáncer cervical, gástrico y mamario en pacientes tratados con quimioterapia en el Hospital ESSALUD III – Puno durante el año 2024. Se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico, retrospectivo, descriptivo y observacional. La población estuvo conformada por las historias clínicas de pacientes oncológicos, seleccionándose una muestra de 90 casos mediante muestreo criterial. Los resultados evidenciaron que la prevalencia fue mayor en el cáncer gástrico (40 %), seguido del cáncer cervical (36,7 %) y mamario (23,3 %). El cáncer gástrico predominó en varones adultos y adultos mayores (55,6 %), mientras que el cervical y mamario afectaron exclusivamente a mujeres. Se concluye que el cáncer gástrico representa la principal neoplasia en la población estudiada, mientras que el cáncer cervical y mamario afectan de manera exclusiva a mujeres.
