Conocimiento sobre el Cáncer de Cuello Uterino en Mujeres que se atienden en el Hospital Militar Central 2022.

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene por objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cáncer de cuello uterino en mujeres que se atienden en el Hospital Militar Central 2022. El estudio fue de tipo básico, transversal, no experimental y descriptivo con una muestra de 79 pacientes mujeres. Los resultados muestran que el 60,8% tienen conocimiento que el cáncer es causado por un virus y el 58,2% afirman que el cáncer se transmite por relaciones sexuales, el 94,9% refieren que tener antecedentes familiares con cáncer es un riesgo, el 70,9% afirman que la actividad física reduce el riesgo de cáncer y el 98,7% dicen que el examen de Papanicolau debe ser una vez al año. En conclusión, el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cáncer de cuello uterino en las pacientes es alto en un 84,8%.

The objective of this research is to determine the level of knowledge about cervical cancer in women who are treated at the Hospital Militar Central 2022. The study was basic, cross-sectional, non-experimental and descriptive with a sample of 79 female patients. The results show that 60.8% are aware that cancer is caused by a virus and 58.2% say that cancer is transmitted by sexual intercourse, 94.9% say that having a family history of cancer is a risk, 70.9% say that physical activity reduces the risk of cancer and 98.7% say that Pap smears should be done once a year. In conclusion, the level of knowledge about cervical cancer in patients is high in 84.8%.
