Abstract
El estudio determinó la relación entre muertes por accidente de tránsito y alcoholemia, reportados en la morgue de Chiclayo durante el 2019, para lo cual se tomó como muestra de estudio las muertes registradas por accidente de tránsito. Se obtuvo que la causa de muerte Accidental con 31.4%, el porcentaje de muertes por accidente de tránsito fue de 54.9%, de estos el 88.7% presentaron una alcoholemia positiva. Los niveles de alcoholemia que presentaron la mayor cantidad de casos fueron los niveles de ebriedad y ebriedad absoluta con 33.9% y 53.2% respectivamente; el sexo de mayor prevalencia fue el masculino con 85.5%. Se concluye que existe una relación entre el consumo de alcohol (alcoholemia) y las muertes por accidentes de tránsito
