Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la influencia de un programa educativo en el conocimiento sobre mastitis puerperal en gestantes de psicoprofilaxis del Hospital de Lircay, 2025. Se aplicó un diseño preexperimental con pre y post test. La muestra fue de 25 gestantes, a quienes se administró un cuestionario validado. Los resultados mostraron incremento del conocimiento: en diagnóstico, el desconocimiento disminuyó de 68,0% a 8,0%; en tratamiento, el nivel adecuado aumentó de 4,0% a 76,0%; y en prevención, de 36,0% a 92,0%. La prueba T de Student evidenció diferencias significativas (p = 0,000). Se concluye que el programa educativo mejoró significativamente el nivel de conocimiento sobre mastitis puerperal.
The objective of the study was to evaluate the influence of an educational program on knowledge about puerperal mastitis in pregnant women undergoing psychoprophylaxis at the Hospital de Lircay, 2025. A pre-experimental design with pre- and post-tests was used. The sample consisted of 25 pregnant women, who were given a validated questionnaire. The results showed an increase in knowledge: in diagnosis, ignorance decreased from 68.0% to 8.0%; in treatment, the adequate level increased from 4.0% to 76.0%; and in prevention, from 36.0% to 92.0%. The Student's t-test showed significant differences (p = 0.000). It is concluded that the educational program significantly improved the level of knowledge about puerperal mastitis.
