Abstract
El objetivo fue evaluar el efecto gastroprotector del extracto alcohólico de las hojas de Cybistax antisyphilitica “llangua” en ratas albinas. La metodología fue experimental, con tamizaje fitoquímico y evaluación macroscópica e histopatológica. La muestra estuvo conformada por ratas albinas distribuidas en seis grupos, incluyendo controles, omeprazol y dosis de 200, 400 y 600 mg/kg del extracto. Los resultados evidenciaron la presencia de flavonoides, taninos y compuestos fenólicos. Las dosis del extracto presentaron inhibiciones de 28,37 %, 38,30 % y 48,15 %, respectivamente, con diferencias significativas entre los grupos (p < 0,05). Se concluyó que el extracto presentó efecto gastroprotector dependiente de la dosis, siendo 600 mg/kg la más efectiva.
