Factores y características del consumo de antibióticos sin receta médica de usuarios que acuden a la Botica Universal de Huacho

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es identificar los factores y características del consumo de antibióticos sin receta médica en los usuarios que acuden a la botica Universal del distrito de Huacho, 2023. El método de estudio es observacional, de tipo transversal, descriptivo. Se aplicó el muestreo, y fueron seleccionados 149 usuarios, mayores de 18 años de edad, de ambos sexos, Los resultados de mayor proporción fueron, los de ingreso menor al sueldo mínimo (42.3%) y los que perciben un ingreso mayor (38.9%); los de situación laboral independiente (71.1%) y los que cuentan con Seguro Integral de Salud (39.6%) o EsSalud (35.6%). En conclusión, la prevalencia de uso de antibióticos sin receta médica fue elevada.

The objective of this research work is to identify the factors and characteristics of the consumption of antibiotics without medical prescription in the users who go to the Universal pharmacy in the district of Huacho, 2023. The study method is observational, cross-sectional, descriptive. Sampling was applied, and 149 users, over 18 years of age, of both sexes, were selected. The results of the highest proportion were those with an income lower than the minimum wage (42.3%) and those with a higher income (38.9%); those with an independent work situation (71.1%) and those with Comprehensive Health Insurance (39.6%) or EsSalud (35.6%). In conclusion, the prevalence of antibiotic use without medical prescription was high.
