Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between risk assessment and pressure injury prevention practices among nursing staff at the El Carmen Maternal and Child Hospital in Huancayo during 2024. The methodology was basic, with a non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 50 nursing professionals and 50 patients, identified through direct observation. The results showed that 90% of patients were classified as "not at risk" and 10% as "at risk," while 54% of nurses demonstrated adequate practices and 46% demonstrated very adequate practices. It was concluded that there is a moderate and statistically significant positive relationship, demonstrating that a more accurate risk assessment is associated with more effective preventive practices by nursing staff.
