Nivel de conocimiento y manejo del paciente con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 en estudiantes de Estomatología de una Universidad Privada de Huancayo - 2020

Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo, determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y el manejo del paciente con Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 en estudiantes de estomatología de una Universidad Privada de Huancayo – 2020. El estudio fue una investigación cuantitativa, De tipo básica, nivel correlacional y descriptiva, diseño correlacional de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 96 estudiantes de 5to a 9no ciclo de estomatología de la UPHFR. Para la recolección de la información se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y el instrumento cuestionario on-line. El análisis de los datos se llevó a cabo mediante la estadística descriptiva y la estadística inferencial (Correlación de Spearman). El estudio concluyó en que el nivel de conocimiento y el manejo de paciente con diabetes mellitus tipo 2, tienen una correlación alta y positiva (Rho = 0.914 y p-valor = 0,000)

The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the management of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in stomatology students of a private university in Huancayo - 2020. The study was a quantitative research, basic type, correlational and descriptive level, cross-sectional correlational design. The sample consisted of 96 students from 5th to 9th cycle of stomatology at UPHFR. The survey technique and the on-line questionnaire instrument were used to collect the information. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (Spearman's correlation). The study concluded that the level of knowledge and the management of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus have a high and positive correlation (Rho = 0.914 and p-value = 0.000)
