Abstract
El estudio fue de tipo básico, de nivel relacional, con un diseño no experimental, transversal correlacional; la población de estudio estuvo conformada por 80 madres de niños menores de 3 años atendidos en el Centro de Salud Juan Parra del Riego de Huancayo durante el primer trimestre del año 2021; las técnicas que se usaron son la encuesta y el análisis documental, se utilizó dos instrumentos, el Cuestionario de factores del incumplimiento de la suplementación con sulfato ferroso y la Ficha de registro de datos. Como resultados se obtuvo que, en el 51,25% de niños cumple la suplementación con sulfato ferroso, y el 48,75% no cumple la suplementación. Concluimos que: el grado de instrucción, la administración diaria de sulfato ferroso, la tolerancia del sulfato ferroso por el niño y la disponibilidad de cupos para la atención del niño, son factores asociados al incumplimiento de la suplementación
