Nivel de conocimiento sobre uso de plantas medicinales para el tratamiento de enfermedades respiratorias del adulto mayor en la Botica Nellypharma-2023

Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación es determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el uso de plantas medicinales en el tratamiento de enfermedades respiratorias del adulto mayor en la Botica Nellypharma - Trujillo 2023. El método fue tipo descriptivo cuantitativo y diseño no experimental, corte transversal; la población de 218 adultos mayores y la muestra de 139. Los resultados muestran el nivel de conocimiento insuficiente con 51.1%. Las plantas más usadas fueron cebolla, eucalipto, manzanilla, jengibre; la forma de preparación fue infusión y la administración más común fue vía oral; el grupo etario que se encuentra de 60-70 años; sexo femenino y grado de instrucción nivel primario. En conclusión, el nivel de conocimiento es insuficiente, así mismo, se usan las plantas medicinales en el tratamiento de enfermedades respiratorias.

The objective of the research is to determine the level of knowledge about the use of medicinal plants in the treatment of respiratory diseases in the elderly in the Botica Nellypharma - Trujillo 2023. The method was quantitative descriptive and non-experimental design, cross-sectional; the population was 218 older adults and the sample was 139. The results show an insufficient level of knowledge with 51.1%. The most used plants were onion, eucalyptus, chamomile, ginger; the form of preparation was infusion and the most common administration was orally; the age group was 60-70 years; female sex and primary education level. In conclusion, the level of knowledge is insufficient; likewise, medicinal plants are used in the treatment of respiratory diseases.
