Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre las actitudes y prácticas sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en madres lactantes del Centro de Salud Colcabamba – Huancavelica, 2026. Metodología: se desarrolló un estudio básico, de diseño no experimental, nivel correlacional y corte transversal, con una muestra conformada por 63 madres con niños menores de seis meses. Como resultados se evidenció que la mayoría de madres (88,9%) reportó actitudes positivas frente a la lactancia materna exclusiva, mientras que el 11,1% manifestó actitudes negativas. En cuanto a las prácticas, se observó que el 85,7% presentó prácticas adecuadas y el 14,3% prácticas inadecuadas. Asimismo, al relacionar ambas variables mediante la prueba de chi cuadrado, se obtuvo un valor de 5,250 y un nivel de significancia de p = 0,022. En conclusión se determinó la existencia de una relación significativa entre las actitudes y las prácticas sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en madres lactantes del Centro de Salud Colcabamba – Huancavelica, 2026 (χ² = 5,250; p = 0,022).
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between attitudes and practices regarding exclusive breastfeeding among breastfeeding mothers at the Colcabamba Health Center in Huancavelica, 2026. Methodology: A basic, non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 63 mothers with infants under six months of age. Results showed that the majority of mothers (88.9%) reported positive attitudes toward exclusive breastfeeding, while 11.1% reported negative attitudes. Regarding practices, 85.7% demonstrated appropriate practices and 14.3% inadequate practices. Furthermore, when relating both variables using the chi-square test, a value of 5.250 and a significance level of p = 0.022 were obtained. In conclusion, a significant relationship was found between attitudes and practices regarding exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers at the Colcabamba Health Center – Huancavelica, 2026 (χ² = 5.250; p = 0.022).
