Abstract
El objetivo fue evaluar el conocimiento, percepción y aceptación de los medicamentos genéricos en la población de Huancayo vs Huayucachi-2024.Método de tipo Básica, descriptivo y comparativo; con diseño no experimental y transversal. Muestra de 305 pobladores de Huancayo y 258 de Huayucachi. La técnica fue la encuesta y el instrumento un cuestionario. Resultados en Huayucachi, 36,82% tiene educación primaria, en comparación con 33,44% en Huancayo, existe un mayor porcentaje de personas con educación superior 27,87% frente a 17,44%. Además, Huayucachi presenta un 10,85% de individuos sin educación, cifra más alta que en Huancayo. Conclusión, se evidencia una disparidad en el conocimiento y preferencia por medicamentos genéricos, influenciada por factores sociodemográficos.

Sample of 305 inhabitants of Huancayo and 258 of Huayucachi. The technique was the survey and the instrument was a questionnaire. Results: In Huayucachi, 36.82% have primary education, compared to 33.44% in Huancayo; there is a higher percentage of people with higher education 27.87% compared to 17.44%. In addition, Huayucachi has 10.85% of individuals with no education, which is higher than in Huancayo. In conclusion, there is evidence of a disparity in knowledge and preference for generic drugs, influenced by sociodemographic factors.
