Abstract
El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar los metabolitos secundarios y la actividad diurética del extracto etanólico de la corteza de Vallesia glabra en ratas albinas. Se utilizó un diseño experimental básico con 15 ratas divididas en 5 grupos. La muestra vegetal fue de 100 g de corteza proveniente de Camporredondo, Amazonas. El extracto presentó buena solubilidad en agua, etanol y metanol. Se identificaron compuestos fenólicos, taninos, flavonoides y alcaloides. La actividad diurética fue de 60%, 65% y 75% a dosis de 100, 200 y 400 mg/kg, respectivamente. Estos resultados se compararon con la furosemida (100%). Se concluye que el extracto tiene efecto diurético, siendo moderado a mayor concentración.
The study aimed to determine the secondary metabolites and diuretic activity of the ethanolic extract of Vallesia glabra bark in albino rats. A basic experimental design was used with 15 rats divided into 5 groups. The plant sample consisted of 100 g of bark from Camporredondo, Amazonas. The extract showed good solubility in water, ethanol, and methanol. Phenolic compounds, tannins, flavonoids, and alkaloids were identified. The diuretic activity was 60%, 65%, and 75% at doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg, respectively. These results were compared with furosemide (100%). It is concluded that the extract has a diuretic effect, which is moderate at higher concentrations.
