Abstract
El estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto antiinflamatorio del gel con extracto etanólico de hojas de Desmodium molliculum “manayupa” en ratones albinos. La investigación fue experimental, con 20 ratones distribuidos en cinco grupos y tratados con gel base, diclofenaco al 1% y extracto al 1%, 3% y 5%. Los resultados mostraron inhibiciones del edema de 18,2%, 27,3% y 35,5%, respectivamente, siendo mayor con la concentración al 5%, aunque inferior al diclofenaco (53,7%). Los análisis fitoquímicos evidenciaron saponinas, compuestos fenólicos, flavonoides y taninos. Se concluyó que el gel de Desmodium molliculum presentó efecto antiinflamatorio en ratones albinos.
The study aimed to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of a gel containing an ethanolic extract of Desmodium molliculum “manayupa” leaves in albino mice. The research was experimental, with 20 mice divided into five groups and treated with a base gel, 1% diclofenac, and 1%, 3%, and 5% extract. The results showed edema inhibition of 18.2%, 27.3%, and 35.5%, respectively, with the highest concentration being the 5%, although lower than that of diclofenac (53.7%). Phytochemical analyses revealed saponins, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, and tannins. It was concluded that the Desmodium molliculum gel exhibited an anti-inflammatory effect in albino mice.
