Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el consumo de medicamentos Antinflamatorios no Esteroideos y las Alteraciones Gastrointestinales en población adulta que frecuentan una cadena de boticas del Distrito de San Martin de Porres - Lima. La metodología de la investigación fue de tipo aplicada prospectivo, de nivel descriptivo y de diseño no experimental correlacional; realizado en una muestra de 108 personas adultas. Para la recopilación de datos se empleó un cuestionario. Se tuvo como resultados que el 75% de la muestra de estudio consumen AINEs con frecuencia; siendo los AINEs más utilizados el Ibuprofeno en un 37% y Naproxeno con 36%; que ocasionan efectos adversos a nivel gastrointestinal como ardor en el estómago en un 54%, diarrea en 38%, vómitos-nauseas en 23% y estreñimiento en un 15%. Siendo ardor en el estómago el efecto adverso más común en la población estudiada. El estudio concluyó en que existe relación entre el consumo de medicamentos Antinflamatorios no Esteroideos y las Alteraciones Gastrointestinales en población adulta que frecuentan una cadena de boticas del Distrito de San Martin de Porres - Lima
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the consumption of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and gastrointestinal disorders in an adult population that frequents a chain of drugstores in the District of San Martin de Porres - Lima. The methodology of the research was of a prospective applied type, descriptive level and non-experimental correlational design; carried out on a sample of 108 adults. A questionnaire was used for data collection. The results showed that 75% of the study sample consumed NSAIDs frequently; the most frequently used NSAIDs were Ibuprofen (37%) and Naproxen (36%), which cause adverse effects at the gastrointestinal level such as heartburn in 54%, diarrhea in 38%, vomiting-nausea in 23% and constipation in 15%. Heartburn was the most common adverse effect in the population studied. The study concluded that there is a relationship between the consumption of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and gastrointestinal disorders in the adult population who frequent a chain of drugstores in the District of San Martin de Porres - Lima
