Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el uso de Olea europaea (olivo) y la hipertensión arterial en pobladores del Mercado Arena - Ate, Lima, 2026. Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, básico, no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 385 pobladores mayores de 18 años. Se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado para evaluar el uso del olivo y aspectos relacionados con la hipertensión arterial. Los resultados mostraron que el 66,5% consumía medicamentos antihipertensivos y el 54,0% utilizaba el olivo con fines medicinales. El 69,2% de quienes consumían olivo presentó un nivel bajo de síntomas relacionados con la hipertensión. Se concluyó que el uso de Olea europaea presentó una relación significativa con los síntomas asociados a la hipertensión arterial.

A structured questionnaire was administered to assess olive usage and aspects related to arterial hypertension. The results showed that 66.5% of participants took antihypertensive medication, while 54.0% used olive for medicinal purposes. Among those who used olive, 69.2% exhibited a low level of hypertension-related symptoms. It was concluded that the use of *Olea europaea* showed a significant relationship with symptoms associated with arterial hypertension.
