Abstract
La presente investigación determinó el efecto antibacteriano in-vitro de los extractos de Allium sativum y Ocimun basilicum sobre Staphylococcus aureus, mediante una investigación de tipo cuantitativo, experimental, transversal y prospectivo, la población del estudio fue Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 y se consideró una muestra de estudio Allium sativum (ajo) y Ocimum basilicum (albahaca). Los resultados se obtuvo halos de inhibición de 40,11mm y 47,96mm para el extracto hidroalcohólico de Allium sativum, del mismo modo, para el extracto hidroalcohólico de Ocimun basilicum 13,76mm y 15,88mm. Concluye que los extractos hidroalcohólicos de Allium sativum y Ocimun basilicum al 100% y 50% presentan efecto antibacteriano contra Staphylococcus aureus
