Intervención educativa para mejorar el conocimiento sobre prevención de cáncer de cérvix en estudiantes de una institución educativa, Huancayo, 2025

Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la efectividad de una intervención educativa para mejorar el conocimiento sobre la prevención del cáncer de cérvix en estudiantes de una institución educativa de Huancayo en 2025. La metodología correspondió a un estudio aplicado, de enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño preexperimental, longitudinal y prospectivo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 102 estudiantes del Centro de Educación Básica Alternativa (CEBA). Los resultados del pretest evidenciaron predominio de nivel bajo (61,76%) y medio (38,24%). Tras la intervención, el post test mostró un incremento significativo del nivel alto (80,39%). Asimismo, en todas las dimensiones se observó mejora considerable del conocimiento. Se concluye que la intervención educativa fue efectiva para mejorar el conocimiento sobre prevención del cáncer de cérvix. Se aceptó la hipótesis de investigación y se validó la intervención como estrategia preventiva en salud.

The objective of this research was to determine the effectiveness of an educational intervention aimed at improving knowledge regarding cervical cancer prevention among students at an educational institution in Huancayo in 2025. The methodology employed an applied study with a quantitative approach, utilizing a pre-experimental, longitudinal, and prospective design. The sample consisted of 102 students from the Center for Alternative Basic Education (CEBA). The results of the pre-test revealed a predominance of low (61.76%) and medium (38.24%) knowledge levels. Following the intervention, the post-test demonstrated a significant increase in the high knowledge level (80.39%). Furthermore, a considerable improvement in knowledge was observed across all dimensions. It is concluded that the educational intervention was effective in improving knowledge regarding cervical cancer prevention. The research hypothesis was accepted, and the intervention was validated as a preventive health strategy.
