Abstract
El objetivo es la prevalencia de caries en escolares con discapacidad de educación inicial y primaria en Huamanga - Ayacucho 2024. El estudio fue descriptivo, transversal y retrospectivo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 72 escolares, distribuidos en 34 del sexo femenino y 38 del sexo masculino. Se obtuvo como resultados la prevalencia de caries en el nivel de educación inicial fue 87,5% y en la educación primaria fue de 83,9%; según al sexo, la prevalencia de caries en el nivel inicial afectó con mayor frecuencia al sexo femenino en un 50 % y la prevalencia de caries en el nivel primaria afectó con mayor frecuencia al sexo masculino en un 44,6%. Concluyendo que existe mayor prevalencia de caries l en niños de inicial y primaria con discapacidad intelectual.
