Índice de higiene oral y potencial cariogénico dietético en estudiantes de primaria del distrito de Ingenio Huancayo 2023.

Abstract

En la presente investigación se concreta como objetivo, determinar la relación entre el índice de higiene oral simplificado (IHOS) y el potencial cariogénico dietético en estudiantes de primaria del distrito de Ingenio, Huancayo – 2023. La investigación es tipo básica, de diseño no experimental y correlacional de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 80 estudiantes. Los resultados indican que el Índice de Higiene Oral (IHOS) obtuvo un nivel regular en un 95.7% y el potencial cariogénico dietético obtuvo un nivel moderado en un 82.9%. El estudio concluyó que existe una relación directa significativa alta entre el índice de higiene oral simplificado (IHOS) y el potencial cariogénico dietético en estudiantes de primaria del distrito de Ingenio, Huancayo – 2023. (Rho = 0.890 y p-valor = 0,001).The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the simplified oral hygiene index (IHOS) and the dietary cariogenic potential in primary school students in the district of Ingenio, Huancayo - 2023. The research is a basic, non-experimental and correlational cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 80 students. The results indicate that the Oral Hygiene Index (IHOS) obtained a regular level in 95.7% and the dietary cariogenic potential obtained a moderate level in 82.9%. The study concluded that there is a high significant direct relationship between the simplified oral hygiene index (IHOS) and dietary cariogenic potential in primary school students in the district of Ingenio, Huancayo - 2023. (Rho = 0.890 and p-value = 0.001).
