Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y el uso del sildenafilo en usuarios de la Botica San José, ubicada en Villa María del Triunfo, durante el año 2025. La investigación fue de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 140 usuarios seleccionados para el estudio. Los resultados evidenciaron que el 75% de los participantes fueron adultos y que el 40.7% contaba con estudios secundarios. Asimismo, el 44.3% presentó un nivel de conocimiento bajo sobre el sildenafilo, mientras que el 36.4% mostró un nivel alto y el 19.3% un nivel medio. Respecto al uso del medicamento, el 58.6% lo empleó de manera inadecuada y el 41.4% de forma adecuada. Se concluye que existe la necesidad de fortalecer la educación farmacológica y la orientación profesional para promover el uso seguro y responsable del sildenafilo en la comunidad.
This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge level and sildenafil use among users of the San José Pharmacy, located in Villa María del Triunfo, during 2025. The research employed a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 140 users selected for the study. The results showed that 75% of the participants were adults and 40.7% had completed secondary education. Furthermore, 44.3% demonstrated a low level of knowledge about sildenafil, while 36.4% showed a high level and 19.3% a medium level. Regarding medication use, 58.6% used it inappropriately and 41.4% used it appropriately. The study concludes that there is a need to strengthen pharmacological education and professional guidance to promote the safe and responsible use of sildenafil in the community.
