Abstract
El objetivo de la investigación es determinar el nivel de conocimiento y patrones de automedicación en pacientes adultos mayores con diagnóstico de asma en cadena de farmacias, Lima 2022, usando la metodología de tipo descriptivo, diseño no experimental y transversal., siendo la población 290 adultos, teniendo la muestra de 165 adultos mayores, los resultado indican que el nivel de conocimientos de la automedicación es bueno en un 53.18 %, y los patrones de acuerdo a los 9 ítems el conocimiento es frecuentemente bueno en un 48.13 %, resaltando el ítem 9 cuando compra medicinas sin receta médica lo hace por influencia de la publicidad. En conclusión, el nivel de conocimiento es alto a veces y los patrones de automedicación son frecuentemente buenos.
