Necesidad de tratamiento ortodóntico y calidad de vida relacionada a la salud oral en escolares de Qali Warma Pichanaki, 2022.

Abstract

El objetivo de la siguiente investigación fue determinar la relación entre la necesidad de tratamiento ortodóntico a través del componente estético y la calidad de vida relacionada a la salud oral en escolares de Qali Warma Pichanaki, 2022. La metodología fue básica, de diseño no experimental y correlacional de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 386 escolares, los resultados indican que 88 escolares pertenecen al sexo masculino (45.4%). En lo que respecta a esta variable, la mayoría tiene una necesidad de tratamiento (55.7%). Se concluye que existe una relación directa significativa baja entre la necesidad de tratamiento ortodóntico a través del componente estético y la calidad de vida.The objective of the following research was to determine the relationship between the need for orthodontic treatment through the esthetic component and the quality of life related to oral health in schoolchildren of Qali Warma Pichanaki, 2022. The methodology was basic, non-experimental and correlational cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 386 schoolchildren, the results indicate that 88 schoolchildren belonged to the male sex (45.4%). Regarding this variable, most of them have a need for treatment (55.7%). It is concluded that there is a low significant direct relationship between the need for orthodontic treatment through the esthetic component and quality of life.
