Abstract
The objective of this research was to evaluate pharmacotherapeutic follow-up using the Dáder method in diabetic patients treated at the Pichanaqui Hospital during 2023. The study was applied in nature, employed a quantitative approach, and followed a pre-experimental design with a pre-test/post-test measurement. The population consisted of 100 diabetic patients, and the sample comprised 79 patients selected through simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted via document analysis, using a pharmacotherapeutic follow-up form based on a modified version of the Dáder method. The results showed that 54.4% of the patients were adults, 60.8% were male, and 35.4% presented with diabetes mellitus accompanied by arterial hypertension. Furthermore, the identified drug-related problems (DRPs) were categorized as follows: 54.4% related to "need," 27.8% to "effectiveness," and 17.7% to "safety." Following the pharmaceutical intervention, 89.9% of the DRPs were resolved, while 10.1% persisted. It is concluded that pharmacotherapeutic follow-up based on the Dáder method had a favorable impact by contributing to the identification and resolution of drug-related problems, thereby optimizing pharmacotherapy in diabetic patients.
