Abstract
El tipo de investigación fue básica y de enfoque cuantitativo; el diseño fueexperimental, descriptivo, longitudinal y prospectivo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 80 pacientes adultos que fueron atendidos en un consultorio privado y se les realizó algún procedimiento dental que requirió la administración de anestesia local. Para la medición de los valores de pulso y saturación de oxígeno, se utilizó un pulsioxímetro digital, y se registraron mediciones en tres momentos diferentes: al ingresar al consultorio dental, inmediatamente culminada la aplicación del anestésico, y 15 minutos después de su administración. Estadísticamente, se aplicó la prueba estadística T de student con el fin de comparar los datos obtenidos. Se concluyó que, si existe influencia de la anestesia local sobre el pulso y la saturación de oxígeno en pacientes adultos de un consultorio privado, Arequipa 2022 (p=0.000)
The type of research was basic and quantitative in approach; the design was experimental, descriptive, longitudinal and prospective. The sample consisted of 80 adult patients who were seen in a private office and underwent a dental procedure that required the administration of local anesthesia. A digital pulse oximeter was used to measure pulse and oxygen saturation values, and measurements were recorded at three different times: upon entering the dental office, immediately after the application of the anesthetic, and 15 minutes after its administration. Statistically, the Student's t-test was applied to compare the data obtained. It was concluded that there is an influence of local anesthesia on pulse rate and oxygen saturation in adult patients in a private dental office, Arequipa 2022 (p=0.000)
