Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la eficacia del tratamiento antianémico en niños menores de 3 años atendidos en el Centro de Salud Azapampa, Chilca, durante el año 2025. La investigación fue de tipo analítico, retrospectiva y de diseño preexperimental con esquema pretest y postest. La población estuvo conformada por 100 niños diagnosticados con anemia y la muestra por 79 niños que recibieron tratamiento con sulfato ferroso y multimicronutrientes durante 12 meses. Los resultados mostraron que inicialmente el 68,4% presentó anemia leve y el 31,6% anemia moderada; después del tratamiento, el 75,9% alcanzó niveles normales de hemoglobina. Asimismo, el promedio de hemoglobina aumentó de 10,7 g/dL a 14,9 g/dL. La prueba de Wilcoxon evidenció diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre los niveles de hemoglobina antes y después del tratamiento (p = 0,000). Se concluye que el tratamiento antianémico fue eficaz para incrementar los niveles de hemoglobina y reducir la prevalencia de anemia en los niños evaluados.
This study aimed to determine the efficacy of antianemic treatment in children under 3 years of age treated at the Azapampa Health Center in Chilca, Peru, during 2025. The research was analytical, retrospective, and pre-experimental in design, with a pretest-posttest scheme. The population consisted of 100 children diagnosed with anemia, and the sample comprised 79 children who received treatment with ferrous sulfate and multimicronutrients for 12 months. The results showed that initially, 68.4% presented with mild anemia and 31.6% with moderate anemia; after treatment, 75.9% achieved normal hemoglobin levels. Furthermore, the average hemoglobin level increased from 10.7 g/dL to 14.9 g/dL. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test demonstrated statistically significant differences between hemoglobin levels before and after treatment (p = 0.000). It is concluded that the anti-anemic treatment was effective in increasing hemoglobin levels and reducing the prevalence of anemia in the children evaluated.
