Abstract

A basic, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design was employed, using a sample of 80 students selected through stratified probability sampling. The results showed that 93.8% exhibited moderate-risk behaviors and 6.3% high-risk behaviors; regarding attitudes, a neutral stance predominated (61.3%). The Spearman test yielded a Rho of 0.142 (p = 0.092), indicating a positive but weak and non-significant relationship. It was concluded that there is no significant relationship between sexual behavior and attitudes toward STIs among the adolescents studied.
