Abstract
Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre la periodontitis y el índice de masa corporal en soldados de la compañía de comunicaciones N° 2 de la 2da. Brigada de Infantería – Ayacucho 2021. Materiales y método: investigación de tipo básica y de diseño correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 52 soldados de sexo masculino. Resultados: El IMC fue normal en un 69.2%, sobrepeso 30.8%; no presentaron periodontitis 51.9% y presentan periodontitis 40,1% de los cuales 30,8% presentó periodontitis leve y 17,3% periodontitis moderada. Conclusiones: Existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre la periodontitis y el índice de masa corporal.
