Abstract
The study was the in vitro antibacterial activity of the ethanolic extract of Annona muricata (soursop) leaves on Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. The research methodology was quantitative, experimental, cross-sectional and prospective. The study sample was Annona muricata leaves, which were macerated for 10 days. The diffusion technique was used in wells where ethanolic extracts were inoculated at 50%, 75% and 100%. The results showed inhibition halos of 12.67 mm, 14.23 mm and 15.29 mm, respectively. It is concluded that the different concentrations of the studied ethanolic extracts of Annona muricata do present antibacterial activity on S. aureus
