Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la actividad antidiarreica del extracto hidroalcohólico de hojas secas de Solanum tuberosum L. en ratones albinos. Se realizó una investigación experimental con 30 ratones distribuidos en cinco grupos (control negativo, loperamida y tres dosis del extracto). La evaluación se efectuó mediante el ensayo de tránsito intestinal con carbón activado. Los resultados mostraron un efecto dosis-dependiente, alcanzando hasta 52.5% de inhibición, comparable a la loperamida (54.4%). Se concluyó que el extracto presentó actividad antidiarreica significativa y potencial fitoterapéutico.
The objective of the present study was to determine the antidiarrheal activity of the hydroalcoholic extract of dried *Solanum tuberosum* L. leaves in albino mice. An experimental investigation was conducted involving 30 mice distributed into five groups (negative control, loperamide, and three doses of the extract). The evaluation was performed using the activated charcoal intestinal transit assay. The results demonstrated a dose-dependent effect, achieving up to 52.5% inhibition—comparable to that of loperamide (54.4%). It was concluded that the extract exhibited significant antidiarrheal activity and phytotherapeutic potential.
