Abstract
The objective of this research is to evaluate the wound-healing activity of a gel—formulated at concentrations of 2% and 4% using an ethanolic extract of *Rumex crispus* (curly dock) root—on induced lesions in Holtzman rats. The study employs a quantitative approach and an experimental, cross-sectional, explanatory research design. In all groups, a progressive decrease in the lesion area was observed, evidencing the physiological process of tissue repair and wound closure. It was demonstrated that the 4% concentration, applied topically every 12 hours for 21 days, resulted in complete and highly effective dermal regeneration.
